"Change" is inevitable. The world today is, will not be the same tomorrow. An act what we do at this moment, cannot be done in the same way, same time, and same manner. An aircraft scheduled to depart from the airport now, may not be the same tomorrow. So, it is the "change" every where. What we are now, may not be the same after a minute. Thus change is everywhere and it is proportional to time and space. It is only this "change" which made many people successful, many industries strong and growing, many manufacturers accomplish their deadlines and etc. It is also the same "Change", which made people to suffer and face hardships. So it is "change" which takes control of our life and lead us forward. It entirely depends on for what we "change" and how we "Change." But to move forward in life, we have to travel along with the "Change."

In India, few decades ago, there was a great success with the launch of a new design, which revolutionized the automobile industry, a car, named "Fiat-Premier Padmini." The design won the hearts of many people with its robust construction and excellent mileage. Numerous people bought this particular car and it was also a symbol of status. The sales went very high and the company was on top gear. After some fruitful years, the car and thus the company, whose fame was fluttering high in air, suddenly crashed. People started selling their cars and the corporates of the Fiat company cannot understand the reason for that. The entire company crashed. The Kingdom of Fiat was captured by a new company called "Maruthi." People started to sell Fiat and buy Maruthi's ever famous design "Maruthi-800." Fiat corporates started to analyze the reason for their downfall. They found the reason as "Change."

Wondering how? Fiat designers and engineers claimed that there was no need for further enhancement of design. Their line of thinking was that people liked the design and almost everybody was crazy on Fiat. This was the main reason and caused their downfall. As "Maruthi" came into the market with a new design, suddenly people found that "Maruthi-800" was more attractive than everything else. Thus it is evident that "change" is required and it will be always with the change where everyone can easily achieve success.

I have numerous thoughts running through my mind. I feel that this will be a best way to record the frequent blossoming of ideas in my mind..

The way I lived life and The way to live:

I was with full of unnecessary positive energy, aiming at stupid stuffs.. setting unnecessary targets, full of selfish and jealous thoughts.

We all know that "Life is Game to be Played".
but it has to be understood "what game it is and how to play it".
Every book says "Life is a game" and ask us " to play as it comes"..It sometimes motivates to "Play it Big"..
all those stuffs are correct. I was playing a game as advised by others. Those advisers left me unclear. So, thinking whatever I know is all that to be known, I played my game.

I played a game similar to "cricket, football, rugby, etc.."...All these games require high energy levels and stamina. They keep us fit and healthy. The spectators keep their fingers crossed while watching these games.
But for what?
They look "who win and who loose...!"
These games are always "Win /Loose " games. Either "You win I loose or I win You loose".
What matters for the spectators is who wins..!
Very few enjoy the game.
This is what I played till 2009 April.

I did not enjoy any activity which I did in my life till then. All did was out of unknowing pressure, attitude to win, selfishness and Jealous. I at last won the game. I achieved what I planned. But even after achieving, I was unhappy..
My selfishness and jealous ( I mistook it as aim and determination), kept on creeping to heights.
I substantiated Mas low's Need theory.
My needs kept increasing..After getting at Esteem needs, I started to value my relationships, friendships and even my love lesser than those Esteem needs. I started to investigate about my change in behavior. At last, I found that the drive behind me was to get "recognition" from others. I did not do things out of passion..But did out of the need(want) to get recognized. So, obviously I did not enjoy or the fruits of my success were not tasteful. Now I am happy that I have understood (assuming), the fact that I was more emotional in my life than being rational.
But I realized this at some point, (wondering how), and started to change the way I live. I did some work out of my assumed passion... I also tried to find out "what's my passion"..!!
But after riding the bike for 25 years through my life, I cannot identify my passion...
I was shameful and cannot even say to any one that "I don't have a passion.." But at least I came to know that passion cannot take birth after 25 years.. It must have been tapped right at childhood itself. Now, I just sow the seeds for growing a false tree called "passion". But I never bothered for it because I always had a strong feeling that this false tree will one day reap at least a false fruit, (will be useful for the humanity).

But after April 2009, I started to play a different game.

The game similar to "Golf, Billiards, Swimming..etc"...
Wondering what's the difference and why I chose this particular kind of game?
any guesses..??
These games are also highly reputed and require high energy skills and stamina like football & cricket. But the main difference is:

When a person swims in a race (remember, it is also a competition like football or cricket), he does not even take a moment to look at others. If so he may waste a micro-second, which leads the other swimmers to over take him. They recognize who came first only at the end of the race. On the other hand, we can say that they compete with themselves. They race against their own best times..
The same can be applied for the Golfers. They don't even use the same ball like footballers or the cricketers do. They try to reach their best against their own best..

The difference is the golfers or the swimmers play the game in parallel.
So it is always better to play the game of golf instead of cricket..Swimming instead of football..

Does Water expands in a closed system?

When I was answering some questions in engineering section of "Yahoo Answers", I just came across this wonderful question.. sounds simple and one can answer easily blindly..Even though I studied thermodynamics in my engineering and knowing this answer better, i cannot provide a reason..thus this question made me to break my head and scratch all my old books...this is the question....for any technical argument comments are welcome...!!!

Does hot water expand in a closed system?

This is a question given to me by my thermodyamics professor. I know water expands when it is heated,however, does being inside a closed system impact this?

The full question is: In a closed tank with a volume of 15 L, we have 10 kg of water at 30 deg. C. Heat is added to the system. Will the liquid level eventually rise or drop?

my answer:

I am sure that you know what a boiler is..it is a pressure vessel used to produce steam.
now the boiler has water and burn fuel to produce steam. assume, you don consume the steam from the boiler. this is similar to your closed vessel. when you keep on heating it,
room temperature----water level is same
10 degree increase in temperature--- water expands..
20 degree more than room temperature---water expands
..
..
..
..
at 100 degree Celsius, water boils, steam is generated..but the steam is partially water & partially steam..called as wet steam...or thermodynamically it is called as "dryness fraction"...

from now on , if the temperature is increased,
wet steam is continuously generated, thus increasing the pressure of steam ...so the formation of steam leads to drop in water level...
keep on heating...
the steam is produced....drop in water level....
so it is clear that water becomes wet steam and then becomes dry steam.
but there exists a point,(assuming the closed container is strong enough to withstand high pressures)...
called "critical point" at which the water becomes directly dry steam...
the pressure at this point is called as "critical pressure"
critical temperature is the temperature above which the water cannot be in liquid state...
for water---critical temperature---374.15 Celsius and critical pressure----221.2 bar...
thus the water level will drop and finally at this point there will be no water....

a great question.....you made me think a lot....

How our inner Ego sometimes misjudges a PERSON

A lady in a faded grey dress and her husband, dressed in a homespun suit
walked in timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University
President's outer office. The secretary could tell in a moment that such
backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard and probably didn't
even deserve to be in Harvard.

"We want to see the President "the man said softly.

"He'll be busy all day "the secretary snapped.

"We'll wait" the lady replied.

For hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally
become discouraged and go away. They didn't and the secretary grew
frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president.

"Maybe if you see them for a few minutes, they'll leave" she said to him.
The President, stern faced and with dignity, strutted toward the couple.

The lady told him "We had a son who attended Harvard for one year. He loved
Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidentally
killed. My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere
on campus."

The president wasn't touched....He was shocked. "Madam" he said, gruffly,
“We can't put up a statue for every person who attended Harvard and died.
If we did, this place would look like a cemetery."

"Oh, no" the lady explained quickly "We don't want to erect a statue. We
thought we would like to give a building to Harvard."

The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun
suit, and then exclaimed, "A building! Do you have any earthly idea how
much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the
physical buildings here at Harvard."

For a moment the lady was silent. The president was pleased. Maybe he could
get rid of them now. The lady turned to her husband and said quietly, "Is
that all it costs to start a university? Why don't we just start our own?"

Her husband nodded. The president's face wilted in confusion and
bewilderment. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away,
traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the University
that bears their name. Stanford University, a memorial to a son that
Harvard no longer cared about.

Most of the time we judge people by their outer appearance, which can be
misleading. And in this impression, we tend to treat people badly by
thinking they can do nothing for us. Thus we tend to lose our potential
good friends, employees or customers.

In our Life, we seldom get people with whom we want to share & grow our
thought process. But because of our inner EGO we miss them forever.

It is WE who have to decide with whom WE are getting associated in day to
day life.

Art to Architecture...!!!Indian Temples..!! A marvell...!!

Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple,the largest Hindu temple in the world, the largest temple in India, located in Trichy, Tamil Nadu,India. This article is not about Existence of God. But about the beauty of the architecture of the buildings and carvings.
Even though the field of civil engineering has grown multi-folds with the latest technologies, I wondered how people have managed to build such huge and marvellous buildings called as "Gopuram"...!!!

The style falls under "Dravidian" architecture, where the "Gopuram"s are pyramid gates to the temples.

Facts About the Temple:

Area: 6,31,000 square meters.
Perimeter: 1116 meters.
Date built: unknown--built before 2000 years.
God Name: Sri Ranganatha Swamy.
Goddess Name: Ranganaayaki Thayar.
Location: Trichy.
State: Tamil Nadu.
Country: India.
The temple is enclosed by 7 concentric walls with a total length of 32,592 feet or over six miles. These walls are enclosed by 21 Gopurams (Towers).

The Structure of Dravidian Architecture:
Most-South Indian temples are of the Dravidian style. They basically have 4 main parts. These 4 parts can be found in almost all Temples of Dravidian Architecture..!!

1. The Vimana: This is the main part of the temple, which usually located at the center of the temple, square in construction, which encapsulates "The Lord" in the form of either image or Idol. The upper part is usually of one or two stories of pyramidal roof, may be covered entirely with gold or an alloy of gold.

2. The Mantapams: These are similar to "Porticus", a Latin word--meaning covered entrance to a building. The Mantapams are covered entrance to The Vimana..!

3. The Gopurams: These are typical gate-pyramids, which form the main entrance into the temple's boundary area. These are quandrangular building structures which is similar to a cave, gives access to the Mantapams. These extend towards top as a pyramid incorporating various angels, kings, dancers, poets, other forms of God's idol etc..!!

4. Pillared Halls or Chaultries: mostly called as CHAWADIS. These are small to massive halls accompanying the temples, used for various purposes. Sometimes, the temple management offer these halls for a day or two for marriages or other special ceremonies.

Besides these main parts, certain temples accomodate tanks or wells which contain sacred water. Some temples do have "Teppakullams", which acts as a pond containing water.

The Gopurams, are gate-pyramids, were so huge that these can be compared to the mordern sky-scrappers. These Gopurams are quadrangular entrance to the temple, extending on the top as pyramids. The Gopurams range from small to huge sizes depending on the temples. The small Gopurams may themself have an idol and forming an arch, acting as a shelter for the idol.
These Gopurams are touched up with beautiful & marvellous colors, looks as if those are taken during the sun set & rise, the deep blue ocean, star lit sky, scortching sun, magnificient moon, super nova explosion....etc..!
I at once wondered , how was it possible for people who lived 2000 years ago, able to perform such a beautiful work,witnessed by these paintings and sculptures, which never could be done now. The technology today right from building house on Mars to moon, remote sensing, drilling for oil and gas from ocean beds etc.. has gone so fast and wild, but cannot match with these wonderful works of the people who made these stuffs 2000 years ago. No engineer can construct a building which can stay 2000 years long as these do. And amazingly the paints did not peel off and still looks attractive..
What materials they would have used?
Did they have a spray machine?
Did they have a Numerical controlled painting machine?
Did they had cranes and lifts to carry them to heights?
How did they manage to carve an idol at a heights that reach sky?
All these remain unanswered..!!!
But I believe that these ancient works made by people, 2000 years earlier, must have had a drive which is other than money. It must be the passion & creativity to do so. They must have totally loved their job, with out any expectations, except the dedication, hard work and sincerity. On seeing such sculptures and carvings, I could really see through their love towards their work..!!

Woman Live Longer Than Man...!!!

On an average, all over the world, women live 5 to 8 years more than men. Wondering why it is so..?? Am sure that after reading through part-1 of this series, you can now guess the answer..!! ....
Yes, you are right.! This is because, women life style is totally different from what men leads. A Women, consumes 10% less life energy than what a man consumes for the same work. Also generally, when we observe a woman, she talks a lot, but in a calm fashion. She may talk more number of words per minute, but if she controls that then she is under great stress. But a man, keeps digging within himself. He does not want to let out things as a woman does. Also to keep up the symbol of masculinity, they don't cry(at least in front of others). This makes him to get depressed which leads to heart attacks. When compared to women, it is men who die of heart attack most of the time. Also given a same job, there is a great difference in which both genders work to complete the job. This witnesses that women consumes less life energy than men does.

A Mouse Has As Much Life Energy As An Elephant...!!!

Size does not matter when it comes to creatures life energy. As the scientist say, which I quoted in the first part, every organism has the same amount of life energy and they use life energy proportional to their body weight.
Small light weight animals have a very active metabolism evidenced by fast heart beat & high breathing rate. These animals use a lot of calories, so that they use up their allotted energy soon. After their alloted energy is consumed, the demand for energy for further activities are taken from the life energy of the various organs of these animals, which leads to depletion of overall life energy and thus aging and finally death which is earlier than what it is prescribed to be..!!
Remember, all use same amount of life energy/gram of body weight. But slow & inactive animals such as "turtles" which are not agitated by anything live longer. They waste least amount of life energy. Turtles move slower when compared to any other mammals. They are seen always passive, but their average life is around 150 years. If we take another example of Queen Bee, slothful and generally inactive sitting on the bee-hive waiting for the worker bees. Her laziness makes her possible to live longer than the worker bees. The worker bees work hard to the maximum extent shedding its life energy and live upto 3 to 6 weeks when compared to 5 or years for a Queen Bee..!!

Wild animals which live in forest spend a great deal of its energy by hunting for its prey traveling miles draining its life energy often. At forest, they also are under great deal of stress to escape from its predator every day. This makes them to die sooner. But life at zoo, is most safe and luxurious for wild animals. They most often never waste their life energy by traveling miles for its prey and never under stress. They lead a restful & relaxed life make them live longer.

Hey girls, you have to shed of the idea that you need to shed no flab nor carve any curve, because the man's definition of attractiveness is different from what you think..! Recent survey conducted over Europe/America/Australia, converges that men prefer homely shape of girl-next-door more attractive than "perfect" shaped models. The average girl (Miss Average), doesn't have to work too hard to make a man turn towards her. Miss average will definitely not make up to ramp walk(cat walk), but will make a man to get attracted towards her by her normal walk. But you must be asking "Who is this Miss Average?". The study describes her as a 5'4" female with a 30" waist and 40" hips.

Psychologically, men prefer average woman because they are very easily influenced. They don't like women who bothers much about themselves & take care of their bodies...!

To be frank...somewhere deep down, they want to be more attractive partner. They would like it if woman look up to them, as opposed to others looking up to their women.!!!

As a man, everybody do feel the same. It will be a big issue (inner conflict) for a man , if his woman gets appreciation from everybody in front of him. There will be a untold, unspoken war between a man and his woman with regards to who is looking beautiful or more often younger..!!!

So to conclude, for a man, when it comes to their definition of "hot", they would prefer a "voluptuous" woman any day...!!!!!!

The Joy Of Laziness...!!!! Part--1

Hey all..!! This is the first part of "The Joy Of Laziness..!!".. In these series of write-ups, we will discuss a new way of living which we would have never come across..! We will realize what ever we did is out of force and not of passion. This is not a program which yields money but will definitely give you health & wealth. I am sharing this to the people all over the world, because I read these stuffs from a book, which to some extent showed me the way to enjoy life..!! You can literally ask questions like: " how to enjoy life?". you will get direct answers and not a program which is to be followed for a month or so...! I recommend everybody to read all the parts under "The Joy Of Laziness..!!"

Do you believe intense fitness regimen will keep you fit enough and make you live longer?
Do you believe getting up early in the morning and having cold showers is a sign of dynamic living & vitality..?
Do you believe that you got to work for 10 hours a day for your professional success?
Do you believe having 5 small meals a day is healthy..?

Every thing is crap..! All these things are going to make you sleep in the coffin soon..! They all are draining your energy and consequently will shorten your life..! A doctor who made research on aging process, before attending his patients and without seeing their reports had the habit of guessing their age. So, one such patient, when she walked in, the doctor guessed her age to be 65. But when he saw her report, it stated her age to be 85. He was totally shocked and this was his first failure in guessing ages. He, out of curiosity, asked about her secret of looking young. She said that she did nothing special to keep her young apart from staying calm, every moment of her life. She hardly did sporting or attended gym regimen. Also she often ate little, enjoyed life and fasted for once a week. The doctor then identified that genes or the strict diet techniques or the rigorous gym program where not responsible for looking young. It was only the way the lady lived happily by keeping herself calm all the time. This means she did not consume her life energy at all..!!!
To conclude, excessive ambition was foreign to them. This approach to life seems to be the secret to vitality and good health. Composure, Contentedness & moderation, are the secrets for healthy, productive & successful living..!! But Contentedness & moderation does not mean you have to be contented with mediocre things and unsatisfactory situations. It is to avoid extreme areas of life, extreme sports, excessive eating and false ambitions. Because all these stuffs can steal away your life energy, thus cause aging faster. It is only life energy consumption which causes aging.
Don't be afraid of not doing anything. Don't bother what people will speak if you are not productive. Don't be running off from peace & calmness--for this seemingly unproductive time you are doing something wonderful for your organisms..i.e saving your life energy.
Theory Of Life Energy: The Metabolic Theory..!
Every organism has limited & same amount of life energy depending on their body weight. Scientist say that an organism can use up to 2500kilojoules of life energy per gram of body weight. The process of using this life energy makes us to age..!! It is always in our hand whether to preserve or use our life energy. So to look young, it is obvious to save our life energy.
One may question, what if I drain out my life energy by doing heavy work??
It is very similar to get energy after eating food and having enough rest. By taking sufficient nutritious food, we get our life energy replenished, but that depends on the metabolism our body does. Every person has a unique metabolism and if it is perfect, the replenishment of life energy is also fast. If metabolism in not proper, our life energy remains drained, thus causing tiredness and attracting all sort of disease.
Thus the secret is to lower the metabolic rate & there-by consumption of life energy, we age slower. The result is long & healthy life. Energy consumption largely depends on our life style.
We encounter plenty of "energy thieves" in our daily life like stress, frustration, cold, fever, sleep deprivation, poor nutrition etc...

Science behind the Swing...! Cricket ball...!

My previous article on golf ball and the reason for dimples on it, made me to investigate more about the aero-dynamics of the cricket ball. Now lets understand the science behind the swing of the cricket ball..!

As we all know, a cricket ball is made of either 2 pieces or 4 pieces, stitched to form a seam. The seam has 6 rows of stitches with 60 to 80 stitches each row. This is called as the Primary seam. In a 4 piece ball, each hemispheres are stitched together by an internal stitching. This forms the secondary seam.
Flow Dynamics:
Lets first understand the basic flow dynamics of a sphere. When a ball is flying through air, it forms a layer around the ball surface called "The Boundary Layer". This layer cannot travel all over along with the ball. So it has to separate at a point where it is called as "Flow separation". This flow separation determines the pressure. The early flow separation means more pressure and late separation means less pressure. This difference in pressure makes the ball to swing...!
So it is clear that there must be a difference in pressure on either side of the ball to make it swing..!
Now lets see the Boundary Layer more closely...!
The boundary layer has two states. One is laminar flow and other is turbulent flow. The laminar flow is smooth flow with out any disturbance or turbidity. When a cricket ball flies in air, if it does not has any deviation in the position of seam ,then both sides of the ball may have a laminar air flow pattern.

Let us understand the swing of the cricket ball with the seam position being straight...!
This kind of swing does not require expertise bowling skills but of course practice is essential. Observing the above picture, by positioning the seam straight, the ball being rough on one side and smooth on other side, with the average bowling speed less than 70 miles per hour, the ball starts to swing automatically. When we look at the figure, the rough side creates turbulence and thus delays the flow separation. This causes the pressure to reduce on the rough side. When looking at the smooth side, the laminar flow exists, and the flow separation point is seen early than the rough side. This imparts more pressure on the smooth side. Thus the ball swings from high pressure side to low pressure side.
Now lets say the bowler positions the seam towards the slips or away from the right hand batsman, as shown in the above figure. The rough side and the seam produces turbulence, thus delaying the flow separation, causing lesser pressure. On the other side, the smooth surface, renders a laminar flow, with out any disturbance. This creates early flow separation and thus high pressure. So the ball is being pushed from high pressure to low pressure side, i.e , the ball swings away from the batsman, called "OUT SWINGER". When the seam in positioned towards the right hand batsman, then the ball swings into the batsman, called as "IN SWINGER".

So now wondering what is a Reverse Swing...?
The reverse swing is mostly produced only by few bowlers who bowl at a speed of around 85 to 90 miles/hr. This happens because, at such high speeds, the laminar flow becomes turbulent before reaching the ball surface. Thus when the flow hits the seam, the boundary layer becomes more turbulent, making the layer thick and cause early flow separation when compared to bottom side. Thus this again causes the pressure difference, which makes the ball to swing. But to be observed in depths, that the swinging direction is opposite to the seam position...! Thus it is called as reverse swing...!

Dimples make a great change..!

I recently attended induction program, organized by "SHELL, shipping & trading". As a prize, for winning in an in-house quiz, I got a pack of golf balls. I opened the pack and saw three golf balls with SHELL'S logo embossed in it. This was the first time I have ever touched a golf ball with my hands and it looked very glossy. Even though I have watched numerous times in television, I have never thought of the "dimples" the golf ball has...! I play cricket and I thought "the cricket ball is smooth and well-rounded"," why not the golf ball?". This was the question eating my brain, till I got this explanation..

"why the golf balls have dimples in it?"

A ball moving through air, experiences two major forces. Lift & Drag.
Now lets first understand the aerodynamic action of lift and drag on a ball of smooth sphere(without dimples).The drag force has two components. One is the frictional drag, due to air resistance. This is very less and negligible. The main drag is created by the "Flow Separation" behind the ball, and is called as "Pressure drag" due to separation.

The figure shown beside, shows the travel of golf ball in air, with laminar flow. Don't wonder what is laminar flow...! In simple terms, a laminar flow is one without turbulence, or the air flowing around the ball has a very smooth layer. There is no disturbance or turbidity. So the flow separates easily and much earlier. The surface of the ball sphere is so smooth that it does not cause any disturbance of air flowing around it. This tends to keep the air flow layers separated.

The figure shown besides, investigates the travel of a golf ball with dimples on it. The dimples make the air flow turbulent. Each small unit of air collides with the dimples and encounters disturbance within them. This creates a turbulent flow around the golf ball. This turbulence, delays the flow separation. Thus from the figure, due to delayed flow separation, the region behind the golf ball is different from the one above.The separation region is smaller compared to laminar flow. This difference in flow separation delay, makes the golf ball with dimples fly farther. Thus the dimple design was adopted.

On further investigation, it seemed that the golf ball got its lift from the dimples.
As we all know, The LIFT is the force which causes the ball to elevate from the ground level. If the golf ball is given a proper spin, about the horizontal axis, then this makes the ball to rotate in counter-clockwise direction, making the air to go beneath the ball. Thus air acts as a step making the ball to climb over it. This can be understood from the smoke forming a layer beneath the ball in the picture shown below.

If the golf ball is hit with a spin around horizontal axis, such that the top of the ball coming towards the golfer, then it produces a lifting force. This is evident from picture, which shows the smoke goes beneath the ball, if the ball is hit in the direction of rotation as shown.

This type of spin is known as "Back Spin". In cricket, if a bowler spins the ball in this fashion, then it is called as top spin. This type of spin, increases the velocity on the top of the ball and decreases the velocity on the bottom part. Thus as per Bernoulli 's principle, as the velocity increases pressure decreases. Thus we can conclude that the pressure on top of the ball is lesser than when compared to bottom of the ball. This pressure difference causes a slight lift of the ball. This phenomenon is called as "Magnus Effect". This is also vital in swinging of the cricket ball.

And after understanding the above concept by studying various materials for more than half a day, I want everybody to understand this easily in few minutes. I believe that everybody understood the aerodynamics behind the golf ball easily. Comments are welcome for further discussions.

A Mans brain is made up of little boxes. We have a box for everything.We got a box for the car, box for the money, box for the job, box for the wife, box for the kids, box for your mother somewhere in the basement(ha ha ha..just kidding), we have boxes everywhere..! and the best part is the "boxes don't touch each other..!" when a man discusses a particular subject, he goes to that particular box, we pull that box out, carefully opens that box and discuss what is only in that box...! and then he closes that box carefully, not to touch any other boxes.

A Woman's brain is entirely different from a man's brain. Woman's brain is made up of a big ball of wire..! and everything is connected to everything...The money is connected to your job and the car is connected to your house and the house is connected to your kids and your kids are connected to your mother and everything is connected to everything...! and all these things are driven by an energy called "emotion", and this is one of the reason that woman tends to remember everything. Because if we take an event and connect it with your emotion, it burns in your memory and you can remember forever. The same thing happens for a man but not very often because frankly " we don't care..!". Woman tend to care about everything & she just loves it. And man has a particular box in the brain which many women are not aware of. The box is called "nothing" and has nothing in it.. Of all the boxes he got in his brain, the nothing box is his favorite.

If a man has a chance to go to his nothing box, he can become brain dead completely for hours together say like watching t.v, fishing etc..A research done by University of Pennsylvania shows that "men has the ability to think about nothing and still breathe..! But women can't be doing nothing and they don't understand the "nothing box" and that drives her crazy, and nothing box drives her more crazy, and that's the reason they get irritated to witness a man doing "nothing...!"

Woman: can I come into the nothing box with you?
man: no..!
Woman: why not..?

because when you enter then "it's something"...its no more "nothing...!"

When a Woman enters the "nothing' box...

woman: hey this box has nothing, so why not a table, a flower vase etc..
man: hey get out.....its a place of nothing...!

Lets see how a man & woman handle stress...!

When a man is stressed out, all he wants to do is to run into his "nothing" box.
that is how he unwinds. The last thing he wanted to do is to talk about it. He doesn't want to utter a word about it..!

At this particular time

Woman: "what are you thinking about..?"
man: "nothing"

here the man is honest in saying that he is thinking "nothing".
but
woman: "no, now a days you are not telling me anything..! you are not the same person..!you started hating me..!"

Lets see how a woman reacts under stress..!

She cannot keep quiet without being talking on it. She explains..."whoa hmm..whoo..they diid...ba ba ba la la la who who who" ...etc... So men run from their wives &
if you ask, "why did you run from her?"
he says " i don know what to tell her"
forget God, "I told you don't tell her anything..!"

so a man tries to fix the problem.
which means a man will tell his problem only to other man because he helps him to fix the problem. But when a woman tells her problem to a man and if he tries to fix her problem then she is gonna kill him...!
she doesn't want your advice, she doesn't want your help and just wants you to "shut up and listen..!"

So by understanding each others behavior, one can avoid unnecessary fights and mis-understandings. All the best to lead a happy life..!

Hey are you all aware that the agricultural income is not taxed in our country!!!!!!! When i was reading tax law for my examination I came to know that agricultural income is not taxed, but the act did not explain the purpose why it is not taxed...... so i decided to find out the purpose behind it...

First of all what is agricultural income according to the act?
In simple words agricultural income is, any rent or revenue derived from land which is situated in India and is used for agricultural purposes.

Now comes the question of why is it not taxed?
Predominantly people in India earn their Income through Agriculture. 70% of the population live in rural areas and depend on Agricultural Income. The agriculturalist depend only on the nature, therefor income is never stable. This income is mostly seasonal and one cannot predict the agricultural income level. If the agricultural income is also taxed then the cost of living in the city will be exorbitant, therefor it is wise that the government has taken the right step by not taxing Agricultural Income.........

AGRICULTURAL INCOME includes,

- Rent of Land (agricultural purpose)
- Revenue Income derived from Agriculture
- Income from making the produce fit to be taken to market
- Income from sale of produce
- Income from building: in following cases the income from building and house property is treated as Agricultural income
i) if that building is used for the agricultural storage purpose
ii) if it is in the immediate vicinity of the agricultural land (notified area limit 8 kilometers
from the local limits)

INCOME CONNECTED WITH LAND BUT NOT AGRICULTURAL INCOME
- income from spontaneous growth of grass, trees, etc.
- salary of a farm manager
- income from mines
- income from stone quarries
- income from fisheries
- income from annual kingdom

Hey all...! I got puzzled & Irritated as every time I browse, every site asks me to re-type a set of scrambled, crushed set of characters..! Also that was the time I was thinking on, about my next article. So, I invested my time in finding about those set of scrambled characters..! I came to know those are "CAPTCHA"s. "Oops...what's this"?.

A "Captcha"....what is that..!
A captcha is a program which generates a simple test to identify humans from computers by comparing and grading the test results. The acronym for CAPTCHA is "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". The test procedure usually has a computer (a server), which prompts the user to answer the particular question. This result is generated and compared with in the computer ( server) itself, ultimately identifying whether the user is a computer which generates auto message or a human. The questions are so simple and carefully designed so that only humans can attend to it. Computers cannot respond to it. Sometimes humans themselves fail in the test.

So By this time am sure that you must be wondering what kind of questions are asked in test...!!

Nothing big. The computer server generates a set of characters scrambled together, scratched, extended, highlighted, jumbled up with upper & lower case, usage of special characters and numbers, which only humans can reproduce. The computers cannot recognise such characters and reproduce them. But most of the humans can reproduce which signifies it is not a bot.
This is sometimes described as a "REVERSE-TURING TEST", because in this test, the humans are the targets, administered by the computer(server).
so wondering what is a "TURING TEST"..? A turing test is conducted to prove the machine is as intelligent as humnas. The test is administered by humans, targeted at machines.

Now lets undergo a "CAPTCHA"..test...
In the window shown beside, there are set of characters, which has to be reproduced and entered into the tab provided above it. Now when such a test is challenged to a computer, It cannot reproduce the characters and probably it cannot identify it as a test. But most of the humans reproduce them correct
and get recognized as humans. Recent development also has audio captcha's for those people who are partially visually impaired.

So after knowing about Captcha's and the CHALLENGE-RESPONSE tests, now it is obvious that you will wonder why such a test is required...?

captcha s are deployed at places where automated softwares degrade the quality of service of web mails like google, gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc...
captcha s are also effective when deployed in blogs, forums etc to avoid automatic postings...
as a witness recently "orkut" for even posting scraps have adopted captcha s.

Wondering What are White streaks on the Sky...!

On seeing the picture displayed beside, you may understand what the article is about..? Yes, you are correct.. you must have observed on the sky an aircraft leaving white streaks behind it..! can you guess what it must be?
Do they spray some chemicals to produce artificial rain?
No. They are called as "CONTRAILS" a short form for "Condensation Trails". Some may call it as "vapor Trails" too.

But how do they form?
We all know that the atmosphere at 30,000 feet above sea level is of very low pressure and the temperature goes in minus, which is literally freezing cold. The availability of air is also very less which can be found only in traces.
The Contrails may happen when the engine exhaust gas gets cooled down suddenly by the surrounding cold air, it precipitates a cloud of water droplets. If the air is too cold, this water droplets may form tiny ice crystals.
But the "Contrail" must not be mixed up with the "Wing tip Vortices"..!

Wondering what is a "wing tip vortex?"

Imagine a calm river with out any disturbance on the surface of water. If we sail through a small boat, it creates its own wake which can be seen behind the boat. In the picture shown beside, we can see the wake created by a boat. Similarly, now when we compare a plane wing's tip, it creates a turbulence in the stream of undisturbed layer of air in the atmosphere. This turbulence is created due to mass of spinning air, whose center is at lower pressure. The wing tip vortices are different from the Contrails. The wing tip vortices create a turbulence of spinning air, whose centre is at low pressure condensing the water vapour, thus forming a streak around the wings.

Now lets see the difference between the Wing Tip Vortices & Contrails...!

Wing Tip Vortices:

Seen only during low altitudes.
Seen mostly during take-off & Landing.
Seen when the aircrast travels at lesser speed.

Contrails:

Seen at higher speeds.
Seen at higher velocity.
Seen behind the engines.
Originates from the exhaust of the engines.

So whenever we see something like a cloud behind an aircraft, we can identify between a Contrail & a Wing tip Vortex.

Bird crashes air-plane..!

Do Birds can crash air planes? unbelievable..! But yes. Its true.
There are cases in history where airplanes crashed because of a bird(or flock of birds). People are mostly not aware of this fact that birds can crash a plane.
"Bird Strike": When a bird or flock of birds collides with an aircraft then it may be termed as "Bird Strike..!"
The history has records of bird strike dated from 1912. There were many instances where bird hit the air plane which leads to crash resulting in loss of human life..!
Also Bird-Strike may also be called as Bird-hit or BASH-Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard.
A Bird-Strike usually happens during take-off & landing.

The crash occurs mostly when birds hit the wind screen or when ingested into the engines. The resulting damage causes loss of human life & heavy financial loss for the air-line owners. When the birds get ingested into the engines, (which is usually a gas turbine) the blades of the turbine breaks away, (as the turbine blades rotate at very high speed to produce sufficient power), leading to fire and engine failure. Some times the bird may hit the wings or the tail flaps, or even the nose part of the air craft.

A Bird Strike is mostly witnessed when birds migrate during seasons change. The open places near airports attract the birds which migrate in flocks. Some countries even adopted "gassing" in order to get rid of bird strike. But certain organizations where against "gassing" as it may affect the environment & create imbalance in the ecosystem.
Not to forget, the size of the bird which strikes the plane also matters. Nothing may happen if a small sparrow hits a plane. But imagine a flock of strokes or vulture/eagle striking a plane may cause major devastation.

So what is done to get rid of these bird-strikes?
We all are aware of many types of management like human resource, finance, disaster etc.. But nothing to wonder, some airports do have "BIRD MANAGEMENT & CONTROL". A group of people who follow certain techniques and steps to avoid bird strikes. This could be an ever-challenging job for the humans who sit at the airport to avoid bird-strikes. They should take care of the birds and humans who fly with the plane..!!! May be the birds are jealous on seeing humans flying at a greater height than what birds can....!

Fire Wakes(breaks) up as People sleep...!

Earlier man created fire by rubbing two stones. That became his evolution from darkness and today he has lighted up everything & everywhere. The technology has advanced too much that comfort levels are concentrated more without getting satisfied on basic needs. So came the air-conditioner, which led to a fire accident, holding clutches not only on electricity bills, but now onto life too...!
Yes, the incident happened in India, Where the family members turned on the air-conditioner at night. The A/C gave off sparks which lighted up the bed and other items. Due to the smoke and lack of oxygen people started suffocating & before they realized about the fire which broke-out, it costed them a small girls life of one & half years old. Pathetic. There was nothing to blame on the family members except for their ignorance. But the question is even though witnessing repeated fire accidents, why the Government of India does not take initiative to prevent any such further incidences..? Fire, a known culprit, even though it is useful for us when it is under control. Why the society does not insist upon the Government for safety measures..?

Things which can be done...!
Many of us must have witnessed fire alarm systems in many luxury hotels & hospitals. Why can't government adopt such measures for apartments and other houses.? I want to quote an incident which made me to keep my fingers crossed, happened in United Kingdom. Some of my friends rented a house in Glascow(U.K) to complete their higher studies. They have planned for self-cooking as they had plans to cook Indian food of their own taste. One fine day, when a guy lighted up a portable gas stove on the garden. He has left it to get warmed up as the temperature was too low. Unbelievably, Fire fighting authorities came in few minutes and warned them of fire in that house. These guys got puzzled up and checked the entire house. Nothing except the burning poratble gas stove. The fire authoritied warned and asked them to put it off and adviced them to use an induction stove or hot plate in open areas.

I am not asking the Indian Government to monitor like the Britishers do. Atleast the minimum level of safety has to be taken care off..!

Options available:
1. providing a multi-purpose fire extinguisher for every house(instead of televisions)
2. Appointment of trained personnel to educate people to extinguish various types of fire.
3. Appointment of fire personnel for inspection of fire extinguishers & maintenance of such equipments
4. Fire-scanners installed to detect fire at various places.
5. Sand buckets at every common place.
6. Every public meeting spots like meeting halls, marriage halls, hotels, restaurents, hang-outs,
cinema halls, hospitals etc..must have a well established fire plan.

Also The Government can create job opportunities for many youngsters by having the above safety system. The Government can take initiative to form an Ornganisation which takes care of maintenance of house-hold items at nominal payments. They can carry regualr checks on gas cylinders, gas stove, burners, flexible hose which connects gas cylinders & the stove, air-conditioners(even though they are manufactured by private concerns), electrical systems etc. If the repair involves major work, the Government officials can always make a remark and ask the people to take action if the repairs are going to cost more money.
I believe by making such initiatives "unemployment" can be dealth with and safe & secure life of fellow people is guarenteed.!!!

Is There a "SKY....?"

We all aim to reach "the sky" in every field of our interests. Also I have heard in many public speeches, somebody exclaim "Sky is the limit...!".

But what is that "sky...?" "Is there really an object called Sky?".. "Does it have dimensions...?"
By looking at the relative positions of Sun and the Sky we infer that the Sky is much farther than the Sun..!
When we rocket up from the surface of Earth, we cross many layers of atmosphere, and reach the International Space Station or The Moon. But where does the Sky start?
When can we literally reach the Sky? Scientists have disclosed the distance between The Sun & Our Planet Earth. But none have revealed the distance between The Sky & Our Planet Earth.

The fact is that there is nothing called as Sky. Above the surface of the Earth, we only have air through certain distance, then comes the clouds and after that literally "nothing". The air above the surface of Earth is held towards the Earth by Gravity, as air also has certain mass.
When we fly by an air-liner, we climb through various layers and reach about 30,000 feet above sea level, where there are only traces of air. The air layer lies mainly below the air-liner so that the pressure of air is less & for this reason the cabins of air-liner are pressurized. When we climb at a distance more than 30,000 feet, there is still less air in the atmosphere.

A comparison can be made by comparing ourselves as Fishes which live at the bottom of the ocean of air. But the ocean ends up at the surface clearly seen on the beaches, unlike air in the atmosphere which gradually decreases. Above this there is nothing except the very distant Sun, other Stars & other planets.
So one might wonder "what is the Sky then?"
What ever we see as blue color is due to the refraction of sunlight. The sun light has various spectrum of colors out of which mostly Earth falls under visible blue spectrum. On a dark night, with a clear night atmosphere, one can see nothing except the twinkling stars...!

Why are space suits used by Astronauts...!

Hey all..! This is an answer for my friend's question...

" why do astronauts use special space suits & what will happen if one of the suits give-way when some one is at space?"

Astronauts use specially designed space suits because,

1. The atmosphere at space is oxygen deficient.(absence of air).
2. The temperature at space is not convenient for human life.( sun shade temperatures are in -100 degree Celsius and sun lit area temperatures are more than 100 degree Celsius).
3. The Astronauts must be prevented from Cosmic radiations.
4. They must be prevented from micrometeorites which move at high speed.

There may be some minor reasons also other than the above specified reasons. The space suits are specially designed to be gas-tight or air-tight. The reason is that when oxygen supplied from the cylinders to the face-visor must not leak outside or the effect of absence of air or vacuum should not suck out all oxygen out from the visor (there-by from the oxygen cylinders). Also if the suit is made air-tight, then when we breathe out carbon-di-oxide, it should be effectively removed from the face-visor to avoid detrimental effects of carbon-di-oxide. It also maintains a pressurized atmosphere like in Earth.
There are various types of space suits used through-out history of space missions. But just for information, I will make emphasis on EMU, the latest of all space-suits.
EMU---Extravehicular Mobility Unit.

Weight----------127 Kgs on Earth.
Thickness-------Approx 0.5 cms.(13 layers)
Atmosphere-----0.29 atmospheres.(pure oxygen).
Cost------------$12 million.

So now lets analyze the condition when a space-suit gives way when an Astronaut is at space....!
As the temperature may be very less, we may think that we instantly freeze to death. But mostly this does not happen. When a space-suit gives way, first the oxygen is emptied as there is totally "vacuum" surrounding around. If we try to hold our breath, probably our lungs may tear off due to the pressure difference. If we try to exhale, then lungs may collapse, leading to continuous drain of oxygen from blood stream. So, any blood flowing through lungs becomes de-viod of oxygen and within 15 seconds the supply of oxygen to brain is cut-off leading to unconsciousness and finally death. We will not freeze instantly as there is nothing in space to conduct heat. Thus we find how important are space-suits for Space travel...!

Human Brain Vs Computer Memory..!

Hey we all use computers everyday and store enormous amount of data for further processing. Not restricting only to that, we also have memory storage facilities in mobile phones, play stations (other gaming devices) & televisions too... This started from calculators and the most recent flash memories. Recently with the rise of external hard disk the memory capacity storage has become almost infinite. But these devices store data mostly in "Bits-Bytes" format.
So after the evolution of these electronic data storage devices, there has been a question which ruins every human brain. There are also debates at various levels on comparison between Human Brain and Computer memory.

"Human Brain Versus Computer Memory...!"

Computers & Other memory storage devices:
Computers have limited memory capacity, even though we have lots of additional external aids for memory storage like external hard disks, flash memories, memory cards etc.. These devices are just electronic devices which store data in a particular format. These data s gets distributed around various "sectors" on a compact disk or the memory slot. These are stored in a language which are only "0"s & "1"s. They can be arranged, edited, formatted, retrieved when ever required. There is a greater flexibility in using such memories. They take few seconds to retrieve from their memory space. Let us say for eg: we have a computer of memory 160 GB. So we can store data s up to say 140 GB easily. After that there is always a limitation that it can no more accept data s. The effect of such huge memory storage results in slowing down the processor. So the speed of retrieval or any operation performed are slow. The data s as such stored in the memory space of the computers cannot integrate by itself until any programme is coded to perform that particular operation. The data s stored are just like cargoes stored onboard a ship. They cannot perform or be of any use until a human integrates them. These memory storages are used at hazardous areas like nuclear reactors to monitor and store records. These are also used in "Black Boxes" of an aircraft to store datas which remains undestructed even after plane crash. With the usage of "Internet", we can definitely say the world has shrunk so much that we get every in-depth details of anything which happens in any part of the world in micro-seconds (search engines).

Human Brain: The Power House of Everything....!

Human Brain weighs more than electronic memory storage devices. It is bigger too. It may be slower in performing some tedious calculations than computers. It may not perform all automated jobs that a computer perform. With all the above said functions performed by memories of computer, Definitely Human Brain can't. But the beauty of Human Brain is it can analyze, integrate, decide, learn, teach etc... and many such things which computer memories can't. The computer memory can hold various details, but cannot understand. For eg: It can get the details of supreme Sun in few micro-seconds, but it cannot understand or see the Sun. It can calculate and store distance between stars and planets, but it doesn't know what they are..! It can save data s and store complicated records, but Human Brain creates a purpose for those data s. The improvement in every inch of the memory storage devices are done with Human Brains. The technology may develop multi-folds, but all these developments are for the Humans, by the Humans.
The Human Brain can process emotions too. It controls the most complex mechanism, the most complex machine in the world..." The Human Being"...! The brain has various sections performing various tasks. Emotional centre takes care of the emotions, the memory centre stores data s which can be processed with any kind of matter, it has nervous centre which controls every movement and reflexes of Human Being.
When we talk about the memory storage capacity of Human Brain, it is definitely Infinite...!
One should keep in mind that what ever we see is what we learn. What ever we experience is what we learn & this learning is end-less. We learn everyday unconsiously and with consiousness too... Looking at Sun during Solar eclipse...!

Hey folks...!
We are quite amazed when people say not to look at Sun during Eclipse..! The reason is here..!

When I was a kid, I had a magnifying glass & i stole some match sticks from kitchen and ran towards terrace to light it up without external flame..! wondering how? It's quite interesting that when we focus the Sun's radiation through the magnifying glass on to the tip of the match stick, the heat energy from the Sun is made to converge at the tip of the match stick, thus causing it to burn. (Try This out..!)
In the same way, when we look at the Sun during eclipse, with naked eye, which incorporates "lens" inside, the heat energy is again converged by the lens and makes the "retinal-cells" to get burned out. So the cells on Retina gets damaged leading to blindness. You must be wondering why don't it happen during normal days..!
Yes. It happens anytime when we look at the sun. But during normal days none have time to do it as it is everyday phenomena. But solar eclipse, is a very rare phenomena, which occurs ones in a Blue Moon...!

What is the shape of Earth..?

I believe that everybody must have studied that the shape of Planet Earth is "Sphere" and more precisely its Oblate-Ellipsoid(egg shaped). But how do you know this? How do you prove it without going to space..?

The answer is here...!
1. During eclipse, Planet Earth covers the Moon from Sun. At that time, if we observe, we find that the shadow of Earth falling on the Moon is a sphere..

2. Also, Waxing & Wanning of Moon indicates the shape of the Moon is also a "sphere".

3. When we see a distant vehicle at the horizon, we observe the roof of the vehicle first. Then the body. Then comes the Hood and finally the Tyres. This shows that the Earth is a sphere. If the Earth to be assumed flat, then the distant vehicle at the horizon should appear at a flash as a whole object.

In the picture, seen aside, a person looks for the ship at horizon. When the ship approaches, the person can see only the "mast" and the "sails" of the ship. As the ship comes near and near... He can see the hull and finally the bottom part of ship which is above the water line... This clearly proves the shape is approximately "Sphere"..

Merry-Go-Round & Earth...!

I thought of relaxing a bit in between my work schedule. I went to my apartment terrace and started to breath-in fresh gulp of air. I was enjoying the soft, cool puff of air which blew on my face. I leaned onto a wall and gazed at the vastness of blue-sky. Suddenly I just thought, "how do we know that the earth is rotating? or why don't we feel/see literally the rotation of the Earth?". Of course my brain said that we know the Earth is rotating by sun rise and sun set, which causes day and night. But I imagined my-self and questioned "If I were on a merry-go-round & when it rotates, I can see & infer easily that I rotate with the Merry-go-round. Why this does not happen in the case of Earth?". Even though the stuff am talking on is obvious to everyone, My question is why can't we see or feel the rotation of earth, like a Merry-go-round? I want everybody to think before you proceed to read beyond. Then in a flash, I convinced myself with the extent of knowledge what I had, that the size of Merry-go-round is comparatively very small with respect to Earth and the solar system. To add up, There is no reference point on the space, to observe the rotation of earth, except the Sun & The Moon and other very distant stars. But in the case of Merry-go-round, we have too many reference objects around it, like shops, people cheering up, kids watching it and everybody around it. This makes us to observe and feel that we are rotating on & with the Merry-go-round. If we have as many objects as reference in space, we can also make out that the Earth is rotating. Also the distance of the objects with respect to the human eye should be comparable as in the case of Merry-go-round. After tapping up this answer from ignorance to knowledge, which is obvious for everybody else, I returned home and wrote this on my blog...And still I felt to receive comments from others hoping that they may have some different idea on this aspect...

I live in a city which takes the pride for having second largest beach in the world. Yes, it is Marine beach, in Chennai. The city, as such is a beautiful place to live, has every facility that a human want. Splendid beaches, Sizzling hang-outs,Engineering colleges at every town, Hospitals & movie-halls at every corner, shopping malls at every street and everything connected via Cyber-net. The development is so vast & the people are so sophisticated that they even forget to relax. This is evident when we have a look at the time when people start to their work place..! Every morning with great replenishing sun shine and crystal clean fresh air, people instead of enjoying the day with a great start, they tend to rush & push in for secured places in different means of transportation. The traffic starts get jamming rite from 8 a.m., frustrating the people, not allowing them to enjoy the start of the day. Not to forget the pollution, which eats up the fresh atmosphere, I personally wear helmet to safeguard myself from hectic pollution. Everybody gets stressed up by the time before they reach their work place. Also the number of college buses & I.T companies' transports are always on the increase, which creates added threat to the city.
I appreciate the traffic police, for their consistent patience, for handling heavy traffic & scorching heat simultaneously. Everyday the number of road accidents are on the rise. One of the main reasons for this may be the increased stress levels. I saw one of the biker, accelerating his vehicle without any control. I mean, he was showing his frustration on the accelerator. To add-up the auto-rickshaws lead us in deep trouble. Whenever ,wherever they see a customer, they immediately turn towards them without even watching the traffic behind them. I personally had a bad experience with some of such drivers. But, recently, when I came to my residence via Arcot road Kodambakkam, (through power house), to Ashok nagar, I de-clutched the gear, slowed down and stopped my bike aside immediately. This was a great thing I noticed on the roads. On seeing this I totally slowed down and I felt happy. This ensured everybody slowed down and checked their speed automatically... I felt as if there was a total freedom from road accidents..! Wondering what it must be..! Is it a traffic cop? Nope. Is it a military force? Nope. Is it some extinct mammal? Nope. Is it a ghost? nope. Then what it must be?
It was a marking made in yellow paint on the road...I initially thought when I was riding at a distance to be just a direction line, or seperation lane on the road... But it was a marking of a symbolic picture of a man indicating "one person has died at this spot!" This was very attractive and I feel this would be a best way for cautioning people while driving. It was looking as if the people purposely marked at the right spot where accidents are prone to take place. I do enquired about the trueness of the marking. One of the tea shop owner said that accidents have taken place at those places and after those incidents, it was a special effort taken by the people of that area, to put a full stop for such incidents. Kudos to the people who have been so creative..! But this also has an alarming effect on the riders. They tend to slowdown suddenly on seeing these markings, which creates a cascading effect for the following riders...
I have attached few pictures of those markings..The purpose for writing this article was not to just fill up pages or to get personal attraction. But the creativity which the people of that area had, should be brought to light so that, every human thinks of such aspects, making our city, thus the state & country and finally our planet earth, a safe place to live in...

Important Property of Sphere:
Of all the solids of given volume, sphere has the smallest surface area. Also, conversely Of all the solids of given surface area, sphere has the greatest volume.
Keeping this property in mind, lets analyze why the planets are spherical....

Lets dip our finger in a glass of water, and allow it to drip naturally. When we analyze the shape of the droplet, it is a "Sphere". Try placing a drop of mercury on a table. The shape of the droplet of mercury is also "Sphere". This phenomena is due to the "cohesive force"...don wonder "what is cohesive force?" Its the force of attraction between the molecules of same element which brings the molecules closer. Lets converge the cohesive force on the water droplet. Since the water droplet contains molecules of same element (water), the force of attraction between the molecules bring them closer so that it becomes "spherical"....
You might wonder why spherical? why not cubic or rhombus ?.....

The formation of planets are from a dense cloud of gases around a new born star.
When a star is newly born, the dense cloud of gases surrounding it condenses from vapour to solid. The dense gases passes through 3 stages.

2. molten liquid state,
3. rigid solid state.
When the planet is in first 2 stages, it attains the shape of sphere due to cohesive force between the molecules (same element), the final stage is the solidification of the molten liquid state into rigid solid planet like "Earth"...
